SKISSEDILLA #198 A Mystical Beach

It is a while back since last time I gave it a try
on a sketch from Skissedilla, but being on holiday
has given me a bit more time to look around for some inspiration.
I brought a limited supply of stash, flowers and papers, but
discovered that my scrap tote has more bits and bobs than
I thought, but no Dylusion, Distress, gesso or acrylics,
only metallic Distress Stains which was already here left
behind in a box with 3 ink pads, crackle paint, and 20ish
tags in different colours made by my daughter.
So yesterday I went down the valley to a  JUMBO store
and got a tube of white acrylic paint, Jippi!!!
Anyway here is my take on the sketch
I  swapped around some of the elements, but I think I
managed to keep to the sketch which looks like this
I have wanted to use these photos of Tirill for a while,
and holiday has given me a bit more time to sit down
and do some cutting and gluing..
Dungeness is a mystical place south east in England.
A vast area of a pebbled beach which keep growing due
to very strong under currents, so swimming is NOT aloud.
100s of years back the beach was much further inland,
so old boat wrecks and fishermens shacks are far up
the beach. A power plant was built in 1965 so fishermen
and residents in the area disappeared and it now looks like
a ghost town.  Still lots to see if you just turn your
back to the nuclear power station :P

Here is one of the long board walks. Tirill was running
across, back and forth and I managed to get some action
photos. Some of the photos was cut out and added
to the board walk scene. It saves a lot of space and gives
room for more photos and you get rid of a lot of
unwanted backgrounds.
I used 1,3, and5 mm gluepads to give some depth on the LO

 A few close ups

Thanks for popping by my blog :)
