Hello every one :)
Today I have a double DT challeng reveal.
One for ARTastic and
one for Pixels and Paper
I am normaly on the Team B for ARTastic which is posted
on the blog the 15th every month, but now in June I have swaped
over to team A and has the same reveal date as Pixels and paper
on the 1st, but as it is the same blog ownwer I can do a
"double" blog post with some advert for both blogs ;)
This first one is my page for ARTastic where the criteria
this month is DISTRESSING
Inspired by this fun picture "The Jam Session" by Max Mannix
It was the feeling of outdoor activity that inspired me to make
this page with holiday photos for my niece's album.
I loved the colours on the inspiration picture so I tried to use
the same on the LO and did both paper distressing,
with a distressing tool,
and colour distressing on the paper edges.
A few close ups...
a hidden journaling tag
If you want to see some more, why not pop over to
ARTastic
to see what the rest of the team has created.
This next LO is for
Pixels and Paper
Keeping it in Red Black and White
as the inspiration picture
Inspired by this amazing picture
It was raining everyday the whole week
but Tirill still wanted to go surfing...
...and with her wet suit on it is a perfect colour match
to the challenge picture :)
The sea shell are from the beach in St.Ives.
Every beach where Tirill and I have collecte shells and stones,
we have labeled them in a sorting box
so we later know which place they come from,
to use on the right scrapbooking page.

some closies...
The fantastic "Rainy day" inspiration picture with bright red,
black and white made me think of a holiday in Cornwall in June 2012.It was raining everyday the whole week
but Tirill still wanted to go surfing...
...and with her wet suit on it is a perfect colour match
to the challenge picture :)
Every beach where Tirill and I have collecte shells and stones,
we have labeled them in a sorting box

Both the little wooden red gears and flair button
are from St.Ives too
The rainy-day button I bought at the TATE Art Museum
on Port Meor Beach in St.Ives
and the gears are from a local craft-jewlery-bead store
on the little town beach, so it was perfect to use as
embellishments on this LO
So if you like a different inspiration this is your challenge.
At Pixels and Paper you can creat DIGITALLY
or with any paper project you like.
Just let us know how the picture of the month
inspired you :)
Thanks for hangin' in there through this loooog blog post,
and if you leave a message it really means alot to me :)
Happy scrappy day!!!
Your neice's face is so precious in the ARTastic layout Tone Lil! Your layout buzzes with activity that only being outdoors brings.
SvarSlettI love how in your second layout you made direct reference to the image and put together a powerful and evocative layout.

Two totally different pages...love that 2nd one with those colours & we were at St Ives in 1999, I think....using your ephemera from there...I think that's PERFECT:) Love the 'outdoorsy' feel to the top one, too.....you have scrapped both these beautifully:):):)
