Colourful M&Ms in Brigth and Bold at About a Girl

Hello everyone, I hope you all have been able to enjoy
the pleasure of scrapbooking as much as you like lately.

I do appologize for my absence over the last couple of days
not visiting and commenting as much as I wanted,
but I  went away for a couple of days to explore a bit more of
the Cornish coastline southwest in England, which has very bad
mobile signals and internet conections. Even after paying for the use
of  WiFi in the hotel it took for ever and ever so I gave up :P
So here is a late post of a LO I made for my guest apperance for
June 15th-Use Bold Colors and Patterns
over at About a Girl, I now wish I had pre-posted :P

All papers are AC Amy Tangerine Sketchbook and
The  photo  is taken with the M&Ms in a bowl on a mirror
It is idnight and the oon  is up
and there are no more M&M left....  ;)

...so if you like colourful and bold patters on your LO
pop over to About a Girl and join in on this fun challenge
Thanks for taking time to stop by,it is very much appreciated:)

About a Girl

It is funny how some challenges are easier than others.
May 1st, the first challenge over at
was to make a LO of own choice with the only criteria
to include the name on the page.
I couldn't make my mind up which photo to use but finaly
I chose a photo from some years back when on holiday
in Switzerland in the spring half term.
We had found some tadpoles and she loved catching them, but
we let them all go back in to their pond by the end of the day.
I started this LO when I was in Norway about a week ago,
but didn't have time to finish it so i have done that
over the weekend
I wrote her name on the tag, underlined with white marker,
which can be pulled out from behind the photo.
Sorry if you can't read what's on the tag is written in Norwegian

Some close ups  below

I used some old papers  I have in a box in Norway,
some from October Afternoon and Laura Ashley.
Most of the flowers are from Prima
TH film strip,
  washi tape
different bits and bobs

Thanks for stoping by, if you leave a comment
it is very much appreciated

Bursting at the Seams

Hi there,  and I hope you all are well:)
For all of you back home in Norway,
I hope you had a fantastic 17. MAI :)
I spent the day watching it on TV at home,  through the internet,
to get a homely feeling of Norways contitution day
...and a bit of scrapping in between ofcourse ;)
It is May 15th callenge, Bursting at the Seams,
over at About a Girl making a Sunburst.
Here is a tutorial from their blog how to make one.
This is my LO making a Sunburst

I made it on white card stock with Dylusion spray ( I love those
colours but the yellow isn't bright enough), for the
yellow I used Glimmermist. It was cut with pattern
edged scissors and glued  on to black card stock.
Some old colourful tags was up cycled creating a bit of layers.

...some close ups
This is Tirill playing in the snow  in  Lax when we were
there in the winter holiday. The buttons and washi tape are from
my favourite shop Depot at Tivoli center outside Zurich.

Wish you a Happy Scrappy weekend
Thanks for poppin' by and leaving a comment

Stormy Weather in Cornwall

Only a few days back I thought Spring was here
but now it is absolutely freezing outside.
The good thing is, it is more time to do scrapbooking
when you can't be outside in the cold wind.

There is a new girly blog "on the block "
They will start their first sponsored challenge May 1.
but they have a mini challeng going only this week
So if you have photos of girls in the family, scrapalong
and join in for some girly fun.
Here is my take on the sketch

Below is he sketch created by Brenshevia

Bg paper is from Panduro and I
used some stamping but mostly modeling paste on it.
I spread the paste and created foaming waves by dabbing
crunched alu foil in it

Here are some  more close ups
I have used 2 normal photos and one fussy cut which I
placed over the attachment line, right on the top of a stone
I glued on, so it looks like the stones on the photo.
Shells and stones are all from different beaches in Cornwall
so it is great fun to use them on a LO with photos from there

I made the banneres of paper looking like
weathered boards

Other fun elements I used are
Hexagon diecut
washitape
seaside trinkets and bling
Studio Callico rub on Balloon
cosmic shimmerz
 gauze with glimmer mist

Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving a comment

Happy Scrap every one
Hope you all had a great weekend :)
