LESSology #50 ZIP me UP!

Hi there and thank you for popin' in visiting my blog :)
It is August 5th and it is my turn to have the blog post
over at LESSology.
It is Challenge # 50: Zip me up!
Yes! you guessed it right ;) it is to Incorporate a zipper on your project
....and you can be as creative as you like, using a Zipper
in any possible way, togerth with at least one upcycled item.

I made a pocket card  to be opened and closed by a a zipper

A sneak peek of the innside when finished

I forgot to take a picture of my upcycling items before I started,
but it is an old zipper, a food waste bag for recycling bio-waste
and a piece of  material from an old pair of jeans.
The jeans material is used to reinforce the opening ( the dark line on the top)
where I have made an opening for a pocket on the outside
for  keeping  photos and other memorobilias
This is what it looks like when ziped up.
..and his is the out side when open.... all before decorating the front
and inside( below)
I foldet the bag in to 3 sections, only sewing the zipper on to the

top and middle part (of the original paper bag), leaving the
bottom part  of the bag to be folded inwards, and
to make room for the tags when  the top part of this
section has been  cut off.

The out side when finished. On this side I have added photos to
both of the outsides and made an envelope to keep the ones I didn't use

front of the photo "chain"....
and I added photos to the back side of the photo "chain"

this is the envelope which fitted into a pocket on the front cover
a snapshop of a loose photo and the open envelope

this is the back side
with more photo tags in pockets
this is the revers side of the photo tags above
and this is a big photo tag that goes all the way in
(you can see the bend on the photo from when the card
is zipped up)

here follows some close ups  from the inside of the card...
I used mainly left over papers adding stamps and
other bling and fun "stuff" for embellishments
here follows some close ups of the pockets and
both sides of the tags too

If you like to play along  with our challenge and have some
creative fun using something zipper related,
please pop over to LESSology where you
over the next couple of days will find some
super cool  Zipper Creations
from the other DT ladies :)

Thank you for stopping by today I really do appreciate it

ARTastic July 2015 Water or Liquids "Rainy Day" Shadow-box card

Hello everyone, and
Happy Rainy-Scrappy Day
What a lovely summer weather to stay inside for papercrafting lol
I used the opportunity to make a shadow-box card  for
the ARTastic  CT in July, where the challenge
CRITERIA is to use water (liquid) in some way on your page
(spray ink, paint, watercolours etc

This year It has been a rather miserable spring and early summer
here in Norway , with lots if rain and low temperature,
so this month's challenge picture was perfect for me ;)
I have made a box card with "a rainy day" stamp.
I made my own pattern paper using stamps and stencils with
Distress ink and stain,  Dylusion spray ink, Glimmer Mist,
acrylic paint and water with a spray mist.
Every layer was dried well before adding the next one.
Now it is your turn to have some fun with wet medias.
Can't wait to see what you want to share with us :)

The making of my box-card was inspired by the
this fantstic watercolour picure below

made by Shirley Charlton (aka Shirlroma)
with  her Umbrellas/wet street

Here are some close ups of the front..

The inside was stamped with a woodgrain pattern stamp

A pannel was added for a sentiment

and this fab umbrella has been waiting in my
chip/wood-veneer board stash to be used on a wet/rainy day
paper project, and finally it's turn has come lol...
and it wont be long before it's "siblings" ;) will find
"a new home" as well with this winther weater we have.

Thanks for stoping by today, and if you pop over to
ARTastic
you can see our Mid month reveal.

Keep scrapping....stay Happy....in the rain ;)

Tirill did have some fun geting water from the river for us to use
for cooking and drinking water.....and if you wonder the river,
like most rivers in Norway, was  clean enough to drink ;)
and  here are some more  brigth close ups

Summer or not, if you want to see what the other talented
LGS ladies have created, please come and visit our blog :)

Thank you for taking time and poping by my blogg today

ARTastic in March 2015

Hi there
It is  mid March  and it is time for the second  team reveal
over at ARTastic
This month we feature a delightful work by Barbara Hanrahan
called The Dog, the Cat,
and here  below is my interpretation of the
inspiration picture

It was the colours and patterns that inspired me
to make this LO  with this photo of my kids,
taken at Lizard Point  in Cornwall.
It was such a blustery day where the rain
came in sideways from the sea...
but oh my word how much fun we had :)

CRITERIA - please use a quote or saying

...and here is my saying

I love the mix of secondary colours together, and it works
so well on a mixed media page.

these litte wooden cameras are so cute and
can be coloured to fit on any type of page, card
or other paper projects

I bought these little cog wheels in a small
bead and pearls shop in St. Ives in cornwall,
so what better page to use them on than this one...

I hope you will pop over to ARTastic  to see
the first reveal in March as well, and what the
talented DT  ladies has come up with.

Thanks for stopping by today :)

ARTastic in February 2015 "Colour Palette"

Hello There and thanks for popin' in
It is  the mid month reveal over at
ARTastic
and this time I have upcycled an "old" frame I have had for ages, as the
measurements on it is a bit odd to fit a picture in it..
...any way here it is, my finished frame with a photo of my DD
and her best friend at the year 7 school prom

inspired by this gorgeous picture below

made by Joshua Miles
Challenge criteria is to use the colour palette

It is such a gorgeous inspiration picture this month and
I fell in love with the colour palette.
Even on the photo (of my DD and her friend at their year 7 prom)
I altered the colours on the computer before printing it,
to fit in with the inspiration picture.

I used lots of different textures, paint and spray inks
and some bling inbetween

If you pop over to ARTastic you will find different
types of paper crafting, and tutorials every month as well
as fab challenge prizes.  We would love to see what you come up with

Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment behind
