Pixels and Paper September 2015. A Flower Meadow, the best place to rest...

Hi there and Happy Tuesday :)

It has turned  from summer to Autumn on the calendar, and we
only had a few warm and sunny days this summer and almost
all of those day was towards the end of August...

...But now over to something more cheerful,

This is my page with a photo of my son, resting in a flower meadow
after a mountain walk in the Swiss Alps of Fisch,
and it was warm and glorious day.

This is our inspiration picture  for September,
and it has the same colours of the flowers as the flowers
in the meadow my son took a rest in (it couldn't
get more perfect than that for finding a photo
to fit this  challenge inspiration)

On these close ups you can see the small yellow
and purple flowers on the photo of the meadow,
surrounding my grumpy son, who had
enough of walking that day....
The papers was perfect too as they had imges of
Swiss stamps

Even if it is Spring or Autumn where you live, let your self get
inspired by these glorious flowers on the inspiration picture,
and join us in our September challenge at Pixels and Paper
Bye for now, and thank you for stopping by my blog today :)

Pixels and Paper August 2015, Bright and FUN in the Snow

Hi there and thanks for stopping by my blog :)
Today I'm sharing a LO made for
Pixels and Paper in August,
and it was such a "cool"  inspiration picture
this month, in every way, if you see what I mean ;)
so this is how I got inspired

I used some photos of my daughter from when we went
skiing in Switzerland 2012.
She was wearing a bright multi coloured ski jacket,
just like the bright colours on the umbrella, so this was perfect
for this challenge
Bring out your bright coloured papers, colours, inks,
stamps and bling and join in on our Bright challenge this month :)
....

To see what the other team members have come up with,
please pop over to Pixels and Paper :)

Wish you a Happy scrappy weekend :)

Travel at Pixels & Paper in Febuary 2015

hi there....
did you make it through January finishing off all the little project
you had started and had the urge to complete?
...for me I just feel there isn't enough hours in a day and definitely
not enough days in a week....

but if you are looking for some fun and creative with
some new holiday photos perhaps, on or of the page,
digi, altered or card,
Pixels and Papers has a new challenge up on their blog.
Why not pop over for a peek...

Here is my page...
...inspired by the picture below
and for me it was the travel papers and
the shape of the Eiffel tower that got me
thinking of the photos from Zermatt
with Matterhorn mountain in the background....

....with kind of the same shape as the Eiffel Tower...
the three resin figures I bought, when visiting  Gletsch
by the Rohne glacier, are typical swiss icons
like the mountain goat, "the Ibiz" above
the Edelweiss...
...and the cow as symbol for chees and chocolate
finally came in handy as embellishment on a "Swiss page"

Thanks for taking time to stop by and leaving a comment

Bye for now,  HUGS  x

LGS December Special, week 5 MonoChromatic

Happy last Monday of 2014
I hope you papercrafting  ladies (and gents?) from all around the
world have had a nice time during the holidays :)
It is only a few times a year we have 5 Mondays in a month,
and December is one of them, so over at Let's Get Sketchy
we are doing Monochromatic as our theme for week 5.

I went for all white....using a B&W photo of my son taken in
the Swiss mountain of Fischeralp, at last year October holiday.
...but as you can see white comes in different shade of blue tones
and yellow tones
As it is winter here in Norway
we don't get propper day light in December, and I took
these photos of my page out in the snow with -8 degrees Celsius

...here are some close ups
( you can see some of the snow on the veranda under my page ;)

There are some really aweseome  monochromatic page
to see this week , made by the talented
LGS ladies.

Flairbuttons on a Christmas LO

Hello there from far and away...
If you like using falir buttons on your LOs or other paper project
this is the challenge for you.
Over at the Norwegian Blog and on line store
ScrappeGarasjen it is all about using Flair Buttons
on your project

I am also submitting my page to
Cheris This-Memories for life
Christmas Cheers Challenge #1 Christmas Card or LO
using their Mood board or Picturecollage for
inspiration ( bottom left and right picture)
There will be a total of 4 Christmas Challenges
throughout November and December

Here is my Christmas LO using Flair buttons
(you can find them in the ScrappeGarasjen online store)

I have a few more photos og my niece for her album, so this LO
was made for her. I have 4 more Christmas photos of her  to make
a page (or 2) so nearly finished. I started with one album, which
became 2 but now I am in the 3rd... but what can you expect
when using flowers and bling which needs space like
a block of flats ....I must have been brainless thinking I could
get them all into one lol.....

...anyway here are some more closies

I just love this Christmas tree button
and the one below which says
 Merry Chridtmas
in Norwegian

Happy Scrappy week every one
and thank you for stopping by, taking time to
leave a comment :)

Double Up challenge reveal in June with Distressing at ARTastic and Rainy Day at Pixels and paper

Hello every one :)
Today I have a double DT challeng reveal.
One for ARTastic and
 one for Pixels and Paper

I am  normaly on the Team B for ARTastic which is posted
on the blog the 15th every month, but now in June I have swaped
over to team A and has the same reveal date as Pixels and paper
on  the 1st, but as it is the same blog ownwer I can do a
"double"  blog post with some advert for both blogs ;)

This first one is my page for ARTastic where the criteria
this month is DISTRESSING

Inspired by this fun picture "The Jam Session" by Max Mannix
It was the feeling of outdoor activity that inspired me to make
this page with holiday photos for my niece's album.
I loved the colours on the inspiration picture so I tried to use
the same on the LO and did both paper distressing,
with a distressing tool,
and colour distressing on the paper edges.

A few close ups...
a hidden journaling tag

If you want to see some more, why not pop over to
 ARTastic
to see what the rest of  the team has created.

This next LO is for
Pixels and Paper

Keeping it in Red Black and White
as the inspiration picture

Inspired by this amazing picture

some closies...
The fantastic "Rainy day" inspiration picture with bright red,
black and white made me think of a holiday in Cornwall in June 2012.
It was raining everyday the whole week
but Tirill still wanted to go surfing...
...and with her wet suit on it is a perfect colour match
to the challenge picture :)

The sea shell are from the beach in St.Ives.
Every beach where Tirill and I have collecte shells and stones,
we have labeled them in a sorting box
so we later know which place they come from,
to  use on the right scrapbooking page.

Both the little wooden red gears and flair button
 are from St.Ives too
The rainy-day button I bought at the TATE Art Museum
on Port Meor Beach in St.Ives
and the gears are from a local craft-jewlery-bead store
on the little town beach, so it was perfect to use as
embellishments  on this LO

So if you like a different inspiration this is your challenge.
At Pixels and Paper you can creat DIGITALLY
or with any paper project you like.
Just let us know how the picture of the month
inspired you :)

Thanks for hangin' in there through this loooog blog post,
and if you leave a message it really means alot to me :)
Happy scrappy day!!!

"Welcome to April"at Pixels and Paper

Easter is in April this year and here up north Spring is in the air....
...and I love to bring out my bright colours to play with makeing my
LOs or of the page "stuff"
Over at Pixels and Paper it is all about "Welcome to April"
and here is what the challenge says :
Yet this photograph isn't all about Easter, it's about fashion from another era, it's about being outside on a cool day. It's about green, manicured lawns and orderly gardens. It's about a neighbourhood of houses and middle class families. It's about having sisters (siblings) and spending time with them.
What is this photograph about to you?

Here is my interpetation of the challenge picture
Inspired by this cute photo which is the challange
ispiration picture

The April "Easter" inspiration picture got me to look for these photos from Easter 2012, when on holiday in Lax in Wallis/Valais in Switzerland. Early Easter morning Tirill had opened her Easter "bunny" egg, munching it and watching kids TV. When she spotted me, she ran outside onto the veranda to show me the fantastic weather we woke up to. Happy Easter everyone :)

Below are some closies

What do you think about my hand made crochet chicken
as embellishment?

You can find some more Easter inspiration over at
Scraphaugen and my
"Gult er kult" ("Cool with Yellow")  my first blogpost  today,
where I have translated the challenge into English.

Thanks for all your support, visiting my blog and leaving a trace.
It means the world to me

Happy Scrappy Easter every one
