I just realised I had pre posted this on the wrong week and

have rewritten most of it. It should have been out

on my blog yesterday, so I guess I have been tooooo busy

 to realise it was missing  :P

Not good.....

 

Anyway..

It is week 3 at Let's Get Sketchy and Team A's turn

I used postcards I bougth onboard the Hurtigruta ship Midnatsol

when we had our holiday cruise to the Russian boarder

and to see the Midnight Sun this summer.

The trip in it self is a fantastic journey up along the coast and

 crossing the Arctic circle half way,  entering the land/Sea

of the Midnight sun.

Some close ups

The kids really enjoyed the trip as well.

Sun shine and day light more or less 24/7
and midnight sun when we were above 70 latitude north,
it was no excuse to go to bed lol ;) when only few hours
between ports. Always so much to see, never a dull moment.
It was nearer to midnight when these photos were taken.

The photo is from our cruise up North and the ship

went into Troll Fjorden one of Norways biggest

tourist attractions.

"A rainy Day in Sunshine" at ARTastic August

 

It is mid August already, and school is about to start in

a few days, so I guess it is time to show some holiday photos.

Here is a new LO made for ARTastic Challenge blog with

a photo of Tirill wearing a typical nowegian rain hat.

The photo is taken in SVOLVÆR  a small fishing village
at 68 latitude north, and it was about 10pm but still

almost daylight.

 

 Below is the Art inspiration made by:

 So the August challenge is: 

Raid the kids craft cupboard or pull out those old watercolour pencils you have had forever - let’s try a little paint and water on our page! If you don't have specific watercolour paints then by all means use the normal variety but please water these down so the look is more wishy washy.

I have used Dylusion with water as I don't have any kiddy

stuff yet in Norway. It was only London blue I used, but with

water  you get so many different shades.

The umbrella is painted on photo paper.

 

 

 

 

The clouds was painted with white Dylusion and water

on blue card stock
